Kenpo Karate is a dynamic and devastatingly effective self defense art, of Chinese origin.  Kenpo literally translates to "Fist Law" and Karate literally translates to "Empty Hands".  We practice an eclectic blend of Kenpo Karate that in it's simplest form most closely resembles a blend of the arts of American Kenpo (EPAK) and Tracy's Kenpo.  The art of Kenpo Karate has been called "The Science of Street Fighting" as a result of it's effectiveness in a wide array of situations and because of the way each practicioner can adapt the art to their own abilities, rather than the other way around.

The Kindred Martial Arts Kenpo curriculum blends the best and most effective elements of Kenpo Karate with the flowing effectiveness of the combat applications of Aikido.  The result is what we believe to be the most effective blending of arts, offering the ultimate in self defense skills.  The Kindred Martial Arts blended curriculum of Kenpo Karate and Combat Aikido offers the perfect marriage to bridge between traditional martial arts and reality based self defense. 

We offer serious, no fail, no nonsense, life preservation skills, to adult men and women only.  You will learn to respond to any given situation.  Whether a situation dictates verbal de-escalation techniques, or outright close quarters combat, your Kindred training will empower you to walk with confidence, knowing you can handle anything that comes your way.  The skills and  confidence to walk away when possible, or stop any physical aggression against you... quickly and effectively when you are left with no other choice.  It is possible, but you must step forward and decide your path.
